Abstract: As a result of the growing number of chest CT examinations being undertaken worldwide, incompletely resolved emboli are an increasingly common finding. Radiologists must be aware of the imaging findings associated with chronic thromboembolic disease as it remains a potentially treatable cause of pulmonary hypertension.

Abstract: In the search for an accurate and safe, less invasive and cost-effective method for examining the large bowel, computed tomography (CT) of the colon or virtual colonoscopy is a rapidly evolving diagnostic method for the detection of colorectal polyps and cancer with similar accuracy to conventional colonoscopy in high-risk groups and for screening in low-prevalence populations.
